Wood-fired tent sauna setup

OPERATING THE RIG: GENERAL RULES

An insulated tent sauna paired with a high-output woodstove is a precision setup. Follow these rules to maximize the heat and respect the gear:

Stoke it Hot: Let the splits burn intensely until the stove body radiates deep heat, then add hardwood (we recommend birch). A slow, cold burn creates soot and smoke. Feed the fire cleanly.

The Door Protocol: When adding wood, open the stove door slowly to maintain the draft. If the wood is damp or the fire isn’t hot enough, rushing it will pull smoke into the canvas.

Respect the Stones: Pour water over the volcanic rocks gradually. You are looking for a sharp, clean hiss of radiant steam, not a splash that cools down the stove base.

Control the Air: Use the intake lever on the stove door and the chimney damper to regulate your burn rate. More air equals faster, more intense heat.

THE GEAR LOGISTICS

The entire rig breaks down into durable, heavy-duty carry bags designed to fit into a standard trunk or backseat.
